Dinner & Sightseeing at The Majestic KL Tower

KL Tower at night, from below. Lighting changes colours every few seconds

How many of you would love to dine in at 421 meters above ground, and enjoy magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur? Standing tall and beautiful, KL Tower stands a total of 421 meters from the ground. It was officially launched in October 1996. It is one of the best towers to visit around the world.

You can enjoy sight-seeing, with an audio headset provided for free for you to listen while walking around in the observation deck. Restaurants for banquet events such as wedding dinners, annual dinners, events and functions can be held there too. My first impression upon entering the banquet hall: In awe. It was breathtaking, looking at the outside view especially of KLCC while having to eat some fancy dinner there. Very friendly people there too. This was a function we attended briefly a couple of weeks back.
Gado Gado, fresh sliced cucumber, jicama, hard boiled egg and prawn fritters served with sweet and spicy peanut sauce.

At this dinner, they had Malay, Indian and Thai cuisine. All of which are equally mouth-watering, I had a hard time deciding which one to "attack" first! The decoration was done very beautifully, it was almost like a wedding - but it was not. :-)
Something good to drink that night was the Masala milk tea - very warm and comforting. I love teas, such as fresh mint tea, spiced tea such as cardamon, and infused ones like Earl grey, and fruity tea.
This was taken from the entrance to the banquet hall.
From the Thai table - they has starters consisting of mieng kham, fish cake and pandan chicken. It was real good, I loved it very much! And since I love Thai food so much, I am hoping to find some nice resipes and learn to make some of these tasty starters - they should not be difficult to make! The starters: pandan chicken, fish cake with sweet Thai chili sauce and miang kham.
Mieng kham - read about it here. It is some fresh coconut, ginger, chili, peanut, dried shrimp, and a spicy sauce wrapped in fresh bitter leaves. You might find it weird on the first bite, but after sometime, the taste blends in and it is very appetizing in deed!
From the Indian cuisine, there was briyani rice, and fresh naan. There was lamb, chicken curry, and a sweet and spicy chutney. Now I am bad at remembering the names of these dishes, but, all tasted good. Makes me miss my favourite Indian restaurant here in Penang!
View of KLCC and its surroundings from the observation deck. Cool, day or night!
