More on California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC

When it comes to eating at California Pizza Kitchen, we normally go for it's choice of pasta. That is, my guy, sister, brother.... we are ... well, can be called pasta freaks. This time, again I was so tempted to eat the lovely stuffed ravioli with portobello mushrooms... (drooooool...) but, I could not! No way would I gulp down such delicious tasty food down my sore throat guiltily. I swore my throat was so funnily sick this time of the year I could not believe it. Seemed like many people - my colleagues and some family members were cought with this really stubborn viral spread... I actually lost weight just sipping warm soup day and nite for the entire 2 weeks. And lots of hibernating on bed. It was awful !

I missed my good food... I miss being ME... going around enjoying food and shopping... And I am so glad that I feel so much better now. So... let's look at these delicious fooooooooood.........

I was with my mum, and we were shopping for hoursss at KLCC . We got hungry and realised that whooops! It was 2.30pm and we had not had lunch! The food court seemed way too packed and I have a habit of going for my frequent top 3 restaurant where ever I go... So I chose California Pizza Kitchen, since I had never took my mum there before (I think..) We ordered some Iced Lemon Tea, and hot tea for unwell me. I love icy cold drinks... but I was very determined to get good riddance of the coughing I've been stuck with till today. It was a nice day and, not too crowded. Ice Tea RM6.00, Hot Tea that comes with 1 Lipton sachet and a small tea pot RM5.50.
This is cool - I've never had this here, but I am so glad I ordered it. You would love it. It's actually from the entre' menu, but the portions here are big! We ordered 2 dishes that we could share, and not waste... This mincy meaty dish with lettuce, is called Lettuce Wraps with Chicken & Shrimp. It is very Asian in taste, lots of minced chicken and prawns stir fried in a sweet savoury sauce with Shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts and green onions. It is poured on a bed of crispy fried rice noodles, and a side of sweet n' spicy chilli ginger dipping sauce. I sure love the big juicy lettuce that comes with it! Look at it... RM19.00 for a good savoury dish, we really enjoyed this one. I think I'd order this again next time when I bring my guy here! :-)
Seemed a little tedious to eat it at first, but it was really fun! Take a piece of the lettuce, pour some spoonfuls of the meat along with the rice noodles, drop some of the dipping ginger sauce and carefully wrap the whole thing and eat. Deliiiicioussssss I tell ya! The rice noodles, water chestnuts, fresh lettuce - adds that lovely crunch and it is just soo nice!
I had so much fun with the lettuce wraps, by the time our Mushroom Pepperoni Pizza arrived, we were half full. But I enjoy stuffing myself with good food... and well, how could I say NO to fresh button mushroom?! No way! The pizza I ordered was simple and good, it's how a pizza should be and, yes, pizzas are rather expensive because of the darn good freshly imported ingredients, but I don't mind one cent of it. RM30.00 was what we paid for this Italian babe.

Suddenly I really wish they have an outlet in Penang. In fact... I might just want to try and make these myself one of these days! :-) Read my previous dining experience at California Pizza Kitchen here.
